Selective Oxidation of Dimethylether to Formaldehyde on SmallMolybdenum Oxide Domains

چکیده

MoOx species dispersed as small domains on Al2O3, ZrO2, and SnO2 catalyze the oxidative conversion of dimethylether to formaldehyde with high primary selectivity (80–98% HCHO, CH3OH-free basis) at low temperatures (500–550 K). The reaction appears to proceed via redox cycles using lattice oxygen and turnover rates increase with the size and reducibility of MoOx domains. Dimethylether conversion rates (per g) and formaldehyde selectivities at 513 K are significantly higher than those reported previously on various catalysts at significantly higher temperatures (620–880 K). c © 2002 Elsevier Science (USA)

Removal of formaldehyde, methanol, dimethylether and carbon monoxide from waste gases of synthetic resin-producing industries.

The removal of mixtures of gas-phase pollutants released from formaldehyde- and formaldehyde resin-producing industries was studied in different bioreactor systems. The waste gases contained formaldehyde, methanol, dimethylether and carbon monoxide. The use of a hybrid two-stage bioreactor, composed of a biotrickling filter and a conventional biofilter connected in series, led to very high elim...

Vanadium oxide supported on mesocellulous silica foams (MCF): An efficient and reusable catalyst for selective oxidation of sulfides

A green, efficient and selective approach for the oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides and sulfones with UHP at room temperature is reported. The reaction is performed in the presence of vanadia catalyst supported on mesocellular silica foam (MCF) with a V content ranging from 2% to 10% as heterogeneous and reusable catalyst. The structural and textural characterization of this catalyst were don...

Electrocatalytic oxidation of formaldehyde on novel composite of nickel/triton-x100/poly(o-aminophenol-co-aniline)

Oxidation of formaldehyde (HCHO) is very important, owing to its use in fuel cells. Modification of electrodes surfaces is an excellent way to decrease the overpotentials as well as to increase the current density of the voltammetric response.pt as most efficient metal catalyst can easily be poisoned by product of oxidation and also it has high cost. In this work an efficient and low cost elect...
